Shattered Dreams of Revolution

This new book considers the 1908 Young Turk Revolution to tell the stories of three important groups: Arabs, Armenians, and Jews. The author explains with new historical evidence why and how that revolution ultimately failed to attract Armenians, Arabs and Jews to its cause. A genuine contribution to our understanding of ethno-religious conflict and nationalism, one that suggests interesting parallels with the failings of today’s Middle East revolutions.
